Who we are

This site is run by {{name}} ([LEGAL NAME / COMPANY NUMBER, if registered]), [LABEL ADDRESS or "UK"]. For anything about this policy or your data, email {{email}}.

What we collect

  • Drop alerts. If you sign up on the home page, we collect your email address.
  • Demo submissions. If you send music through the demos page, we collect your name, artist or stage name, email, the music link you give, your genre and any message you write.
  • Emails you send us. If you contact us by email, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
  • Hosting logs. Our web host ([HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Cloudflare]) may record technical details such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site running and secure.

We don't use analytics or advertising trackers, and this site doesn't set cookies. Music previews and mixes play from our own files. If you switch interface sounds off in the site's hidden terminal, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never leaves your device.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • Drop alerts: to email you about releases. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Demos: to listen to your music and reply. We rely on our legitimate interests in finding new artists, and on taking steps you ask for before any agreement.
  • Emails: to answer you, under our legitimate interests.

Who handles it

Form submissions pass through Formspree, a form service that acts for us as a data processor. Your submission is stored there and sent to us by email. Formspree is based in the United States; see its privacy policy at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google and shares your IP address when a page loads. [OPTIONAL: say if fonts are later self-hosted, which removes this]

We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else, other than where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Drop alerts: until you unsubscribe, or [A SET PERIOD, e.g. 2 years after your last click].
  • Demos: [A SET PERIOD, e.g. 12 months, then deleted].
  • Emails: [A SET PERIOD, e.g. 12 months].

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. You can withdraw consent to emails at any time and every email will include an unsubscribe link. To use any of these rights, email us at the address above.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We link to Instagram and other sites. They have their own privacy policies and we aren't responsible for them.
